Your characters
1. Register as your character's name, or their Codename. This is to ensure that everyone understands that each character needs a new screen name. It cuts back on confusion for everyone. Also read the canon character list of characters as well so you are not attempting to take on a role that someone else who may have been here longer has been playing.
2. You can have as many "civilian" characters (with no powers) as you want. You can only have up to four "Special" characters (characters with powers), but no more than that. You must earn these characters (by posting and having civilian characters, as well,) as follows:
• 1st Special character as soon as you join and make at least 1 civilian.
• 2nd Special character after 50 posts and at least 2 civilians.
• 3rd Special character at 75 posts and least 3 civilians.
• 4th Special character at 100 posts and least 4 civilians.
Register your character in this way. [Click and paste, then post here in this area.]

Character's Name: {The character’s full name, including first, middle and last.}
Character's Age: {how old your character is}
Character's Gender: {Pretty self explanatory, Male or Female, Both or Neither)
Character's Alias: {Include things such as: the alias, how he/she got it, does he/she go by their alias instead of their real name…etc.}
Physical Description: {Include things such as: Eye color, hair description (color, length and style), weight and height, type of body build (petite, muscular, big-boned, etc), skin type (fair, oily, smooth, etc), shape of face, distinguishing marks (moles, scars, etc), clothing style he/she usually wears} Two paragraph minimum.
Mutation/Powers: {All powers known to him/her, whether he/she has complete control over those powers, powers that he/she has or will have that he/she doesn’t know about or hasn’t developed yet, what the powers are capable of and the specifications of the power (ie: does the character need to do anything special in order to activate the powers)} Two paragraph minimum.
Weaknesses: {What are the limitations of his/her powers? How can they be defeated? Does the power give them any type of handicap? What are his/her fears? Family/Friends: {Past relations and current relations - parents, siblings, other relatives, friends, spouse/lover/boyfriend/girlfriend/crush, any children, pets}
Power Rules:
1. Every Meta-human/Mutant = special character is limited to a maximum of 2 powers. 1 Primary, and 1 Secondary. Primary powers are more powerful than secondary powers. (code-word: superhuman)
Your character may only have one or two main powers, and they must not be two completely different powers, they should go together. Their secondary power should also be weaker than their primary power.
2. Be unique or at least choose something there isn't already a lot of. Try not to have the same powers as others if at all possible. Check the Powers List for the powers that are currently being used. If four people have the same power, then it is added to the "Overused Powers List" of that thread, and no one else may use it. So check first to see if the power you want is available or not.
3. We're not allowing advanced technology that gives your civilian character superhuman abilities. So don't waste your time trying to come up with a way to get more characters with powers.
DEATH OF A CHARACTER:
If you want to kill off your character follow these guidelines:
1. Special characters[mutants/meta-humans]:
You MUST wait a minimum of 7 days before creating a new special character.
2. Regular characters[Civilians/non special characters]:
You MUST wait a minimum of 4 days before creating a new regular character.
Canon characters:
1. We may open characters to take over - BUT there will be some that are untouchable - meaning don't ask! [Ex: The Director - untouchable]
2. There are some strict guidelines as far as taking over canon characters:
• The person taking over the role MUST have been with the DMA for at least 3 months.
• Must be an active role-player with a minimum of 10 rp posts and at least 10 Cbox posts as well.
• YOU CAN NOT change the characteristic of the character if you are chosen. Any violations and the role is pulled back. If you request to change the character to the Director then come up with a proposal as to how and why the change would better the character and then that will be taken into consideration.
3. List of canon characters coming soon
Villains:
1. We need villains, and of course you may want to cause some chaos but please don't go and cause any large-scale destruction. A few buildings here and there is okay, but if you want to do something really big, like say, destroy a city or town, please PM one of the Staff first, explain you plan to them so they can decide whether to give you permission.
Choose your region:
1. You may choose the region is which your character lives/works/plays. There are some exceptions to the rule:
NO REGION JUMPION: If you pick a region and start role-playing/posting there will be NO region jumping UNLESS:
A. Special request from the regional director for assistance. This request must be run by the Director as well.
B. National Threat – Can ONLY be declared by the Director. Then this will allow all DMA personnel opportunities to participate.
C. Re-Assignment: If your character requests to re-assigned to a new region you must be an active role-player and have a minimum of 10 posts in the region that you started from.
